My friend lost his job a month back. Yesterday I received news of another friend who also lost his. He is one of those mid-career professionals who with more than 15 years of experience, should be knowing to manage a crisis and handle emergencies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sometime back, they were the \u2018Theme Experts\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But come the crisis time, they lose functionality. Automation of many tasks also reduces human involvement, and this is why the first level managers become the supervisors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Only the core team is retained. Faced with crisis, they are supposed to go an extra mile to manage things themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is achieved at higher up the ladder? More importantly, with this new found crisis, they have to develop a winner mindset, a success mindset which they were hardly trained on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83c\udfd4  An experienced knows the nitty-gritty of operation to innovate<\/strong>!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although a dangerous word at crisis, this is the time when all innovations usually happen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

. John F. Kennedy once saw that “emergency” in Chinese is made out of two characters\u2014one speaking to risk, the other chance. He might not have been completely right on the etymology, however the conclusion is sufficiently genuine: an emergency presents a decision. This is especially evident today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At crisis time, multiple level of supervision is not required.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anybody who innovates, he or she doe not do so keeping a small vision in mind. It is a huge thing ultimately, else there is no inspiration behind that innovation. This shows that a global mindset is very much necessary. At least a mindset, that includes many within the periphery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Organizations are themselves huge clients of innovation which gives them closer comprehension of customer’s business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\ude45\ud83c\udffc\u200d\u2640\ufe0f Can you accommodate another responsibility extra \u2013 Multi-tasker<\/strong>?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parts in IT organizations that were regularly doled out to workers with more than 10 years of involvement\u2014the center level section\u2014are currently going to machines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, it is the human beings who make the difference to the ultimate growth and catering to global visions. Machines do help, and expedite workflow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I can relate to me being retained when my contract ended 3 years back and I was still retained.  I am retained till this date despite no projects to my name, and even as the pandemic lockdown continued. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year I got two assignments for my company too. May be  the persistence, and calmness has inspired others in the organization to keep going, despite several difficulties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

India has about 1.4 million mid-rung workers in the IT division, who commonly have eight to 12 years of involvement and win Rs 12-18 lakh a year, and the quantity of such representatives is probably going to develop as time passes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ET Jobs Disruption Survey of almost 11,000 representatives early this year demonstrated mid-level laborers in organizations confronted greater danger of losing their positions<\/em> than the individuals who work at senior or junior level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

66 percent of the mid-level workers had pay-cut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

22 percent at the senior level had pay-cuts who retained job; and lost it mostly, as they are the ones who receive greater compensation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
