The weak ‘U’ who attracts!

The inspiration today came from an article and it led me to think and link the many incidences happened during this the day.

I scrolled through the article in my LinkedIn page.

I got reminded of the message by Mentor Mr.Vivek Mehrotra  about the ‘infinite depth’ each of us has, and find out what can we give to the world.   

He has been vacationing at Shimla.

Looking out from his car, at the tiny houses and settlements which looked tiny from the height of the mountainous crisscross. 

So the next was to have a look into  this topic at fastcompany, which discussed about 5 principles of external self-awareness.

The principles of building Emotional Intelligence and assessment of it as on today has been discussed by Ms. Amy Kan

It has been a second nature for me to get back within since the day I have designed the course on Performance-Optimization.

Can I also talk of  3 principles of Inner contemplation as well, during my face-book live today?    

I  got the link in the read itself  : Tasha Eurich, referenced in her Harvard Business Review article, that only 10-15% of a study sample of 5000 professionals proved to be self aware. 

The contemplation and meditation is a core of  getting within.  Why is it so difficult to get the hang of it?

Ms. Vasudha Rai says it is not easy to be consistent with meditation!!!

According to me,  my take on meditation are the following:

   Observe one subject while doing the meditation

 Shifting, jumping and drfting of the mind will happen. Not to worry, keep getting back to the subject

The worst thing that happened  because of which one is meditating (a pain point) is the best nudge the universe could have given you

 You earn energy out of the 10 minutes stillness

Now coming back to the external awareness:

  • The more significance one gets into, the less will be the feedback available.
  • That will lead to less self-awareness and more vehemence
  • Develop a system to get constant feedback. 
  • If some comment is coming repeatedly, it is time to pay attention.
  • Relate the successes and failures to the feedbacks that have been received
  • Perception of people, may be very positive, you find yourself faking it.
  • Redesign yourself
  • Take an honest assessment

Mr. Russell Brunson says in the  “Dotcom Secrets” that when the ‘Attractive Character’  shows the imperfect side,   many can relate to it and empathise with it and the fan following increases multi-fold.

So, acknowledge the vulnerability.

The strangest secret

Vishen Lakhiani announced that he wants a 2 billion audience, even more than that of Linkedin.

And he said he didn’t bother how.

The action point he has decided is that he is designing an App.

Use of technology.   Good point.

What else?

Apparently, he has not decided.

But he has been confident because his visualization has helped him so far.

Because he has accessed inspiration on demand.

When my newly created course did not find enough buyers,  I was puzzled a little.  I have been guided to this point by my intuition, definitely.

For success, for sure.

Why was I experiencing failure?

Oh, wow. That is when I was stopped from within.

Napoleon Hills’s strangest secret says that the subconscious programming is helped by

  • Choosing one goal
  • Fixing your energy there

It has to be a progressive realization of one worthy goal, however.

It is one of those moments when one hits with the greatest wisdom like it hits lightening.

The pain point was to reach 1 billion lives in 139 countries to show them a road map of prosperity.  And the digital coaching system that I have devised is the quickest way towards it.

When one is looking for information, one does not bother about the tethered notebook and clumsiness of the website, right?

The simplest video can show you the path.

Will my intention be able to open a road map without me getting sophisticated on design?

I wrote it down. That is where I am focussed at the moment.  If I reach out to people, I will get the numbers who will get inspired to practice with the course.

Yesterday evening I was invited into a global group to be a member.

I spoke to an international platform.

And I suddenly realized that I was more than halfway into my mission. Just in a matter of 8 hours.

Isnt that the strangest of secrets?

Another Spring wasted?

Which means that you are waiting till the next Rain for the for this year’s harvest!!!

Half Convinced.

You think you have time to swing in indecisiveness.

My dream was to speak in front of my super mentor but was dread scared.  I have the rare fortune to have a world class super mentor who I have access to.

But I hardly meet him.

Thinking as to what I will tell him. I go super blank in front of my super mentor.

Do you understand what I am trying to convey?

I know you don’t.

That is because I myself hardly did a self talk end to end.

I was never prepared to chase my dream.

Face to face with the Ultimate!

Suddenly one day I realised I didn’t have any time left.

It was then or never.

What did I have to do as I was not prepared?

My habit of half completing the self talk was coming my way.

I start with a subject and escape it half way.

Why?

Because I didn’t reach the crux during that time.

I was not able to prepare the context.

Take the plunge!

Do you think anybody can resolve to get out of such habit entirely on one’s own?

Maybe.  But not me.

But the decision I could write down in my journal.

And take a look at it as many times as I can.

And surrender.

I let myself go from the process.

The turnaround happened as I was less fearful from then on.

The Universe takes charge!

I got an opportunity wherein my immediate seniors got to talk to him over an interview.

Exactly the same time, I wished him on his birthday. I do the same every year.

He acknowledged, and then remembered me  in some connection.

That was my chance.

Finally I could muster enough courage to ask help.

He agreed.  And I am now on the roll.

My small miracle took place.  A huge dream unravelled.

Don’t wait for the next sprint!

At least make the decision right now.

Trust.   And you will be shown a way.

Ask.  And the clue to initiate the journey will emerge on its own.

Knock.  The door will be opened.

Take the universe by your side.

Harvest the bounty now.

We can create the end result – Abundance Avalanche!

My business has been unusual!

but very flourishing. It may not get as much money as I think. But it will create much more impact than my amount can buy.

It is a fact, which takes time to get accepted.

To know a bit more about ‘unusualness’ of life, I was trying to find a book on being unusual, so as to  see the gift in such a happening!

 And I saw one. “The Un-Game”. It is written by Ingrid Martine.

  • As administrators of our own lives, like the youthful hero, Sam Adler, we also need to carry on with our lives with clearness, center, straightforwardness, and elegance as opposed to strolling around in a psychological mist.  Sam figures out how to “unchain his mind” and perceive the barricades obstructing the useful change and staggering achievement.
  • The “adversary” of this profoundly required change can be a usual rival, though; who can be defeated in a methodical manner powered by convictions.  But in the process,  while some feelings actually serve him, many out-dated ideas should be disposed of.
  • Now I take Vishen Lakhiani’s words.  By God, he sounds so much like me.

Isn’t the universe guiding us to remain updated?

  • Random conversation
  • Chance meetings
  • Strange phrases in a book
  • Sudden mention of a name one has in mind

Why do we decide to pay attention?

  • The Universe looks for allies
  • It asks you to think about the lives you are dreaming to touch.
  • What next in the day?
  • How to light up someone’s life today?
  • Operate the life from the premise of serving
  • Emotions that multiply within yourself

Which mysteries getting unveiled?

  • Wow.  The breathless expectations
  • One third of life unpredictable & unpleasant on an average. May be more.
  • Dwell with the law of resonance
  • Set the intention
  • Accept uncertainty
  • Failure is okay. Keep trying.

Why do we decide to pay attention?

  • Stop judging yourself

The lesson one learns at 30

It is at least 5 years of work already after the university on an average.

The  wide eyed excitement at getting on with life at 25, as described in ‘The Strangest secret ‘, has just begun to appear normal, nothing something look forward to.

  • The office has several combo of people who appear to be getting ahead despite you.
  • They were going nowhere when you joined.
  • You are volte faced because nobody acknowledges the fact that you have been the catalyst.

Then what happens?

Why the accounting person so difficult?

Why the junior in the other department cracks a joke while you are around?  And it felt to be indecent.

Now, tell me if these things are happening when you are 30 years old, or later?

My point here is : to explore whether one is still teachable at this point of time. This is the precise age when one starts feeling the need of another skill/degree/qualification.

Is he/she teachable?

Because

Perhaps you have been escaping that

The trick to be found again

Theme expert promoted to a Decision-making role loses relevance,

My friend lost his job a month back. Yesterday I received news of another friend who also lost his.

More than 15 years of experience, they now know as to how to manage a crisis and handle emergencies. Sometime back, they were the ‘Theme Experts’.

But come the crisis time, they lose functionality. Automation of many tasks also reduces human involvement, and this is why the first level managers become the supervisors.

Only the core team is retained. Faced with crisis, they are supposed to go an extra mile to manage things themselves.

What is achieved at higher up the ladder?

🏔  An experienced knows the nitty gritty of operation to innovate!

Although a dangerous word at crisis, this is the time when all innovations usually happen.

. John F. Kennedy once saw that “emergency” in Chinese is made out of two characters—one speaking to risk, the other chance. He might not have been completely right on the etymology, however the conclusion is sufficiently genuine: an emergency presents a decision. This is especially evident today.

At crisis time, multiple level of supervision is not required.

Parts in IT organizations that were regularly doled out to workers with more than 10 years of involvement—the center level section—are currently going to machines.

I can relate to me being retained when my contract ended 3 years back and I was still retained.  I am retained till this date despite no projects to my name, and even as the pandemic lockdown continued. 

This year I got two assignments for my company too. May be  the persistence, and calmness has inspired others in the organization to keep going, despite several difficulties.

A Manager was cracking this joke. “Translated into English, it is called Washington”- he quipped.

 The manager in that team keeps the team energy high with such jokes every now and then.

I just ran an Ad on Resume remodelling. And I forgot to add education level. I started getting phone calls from school drop outs, gadiwala and yesterday a lady who kept on sending her pics in different attires.

I did not understand these behaviours.

Perhaps I did not understand how people think about their Resume. Or their jobs for that matter.

  • These same jobs were looking for only one core expertise a year back.
  • There is a great possibility that you have been exposed to various skills in your career if you have already served for more than 7 years now
  • Those skills need to be aligned to your core expertise
  • More than those skills, your ability to work in a team is more important now: supplementing and complementing
  • The adversity quotient (ability to handle ambiguity and shit) is the topmost quality in change makers and flexible people
  • The emotional quotient/positive intelligence helps one keep the team energy high

I met myself this birthday

As a little fellow I used to get disturbed and furious when remarks were made about me, my conduct, or my activities. My dad called me one day and said “alright”. Presently you can hear all the remarks made about you.

And you are vexed if the remarks are unfriendly. Blowing up won’t stop the remarks, or change their mindset or their disposition towards you, moreover, it will just ruin the relationship with them.

What if the comments are made at the back , which one can not hear?

Presently, you must be clear about this. If you like it, remarks will be made about you, either all over or in your nonappearance.

On the off chance that you believe that the remarks are because of obliviousness, desirous or simply one-sided, figure out how to overlook them (both the remark and the individual) and leave.

IGNORE.

Some comments are actually very constructive and can be used for one’s advantage if accepted positively. 

At that point, life will be more wonderful.”

As I developed, I began understanding that others need not or would not recognize what every last one of us is experiencing.

All things considered, Its not their issue to worry about.  One all the more intriguing point.

How about we continue doing what we believe is right(not indiscriminately, however, yet qualified) and travel toward our objective.

How Shishir got his life back to fun time

It was basically a journey from Hyper- Achiever to High-Achiever.

Workaholism is unsustainable!

  • Time gets wasted because there is no track of time
  • Escaping from some responsibility without a valid logic.
  • Pushing hard against unfavourable circumstances causing one to get burnt out.

That is all that was in his life.  For no reason, he dreaded going out with his wife which is why he always reached home late.  He admitted that he just did not like the evening outings which his wife liked.  He preferred to hangout with friends after dinner time.

How many days in a week he wanted to do so?  “Once or twice”, he replied.

“Could he just enjoy the evening once in a month?” 

He was surprised that he never thought about that.

So even intelligent people can be ‘dumb’ at times, because they do not do any self Q&A.

Focus on end-result!

  • The end result is important
  • On the basis of time allocation, a task does not take more than an hour.
  • Going by that one achieves at least 8 significant tasks in a day.
  • A 5 day week can have 40 significant tasks – which is huge achievement to show off

What the hell was Sishir indulged in? Was he achieving 40 results a week? Was it 25 or even 20? Was it even 5?

He wrote down what all he did in the last week, during the friendly counselling. He was not required to tell it to anybody so that he could be honest with himself.

Social media engagement must have been the highest ranking engagement.

Engaging with friends who are 10% correct!

So when he was told to engage with team mates and colleagues to get to his weekly achievement numbers, he easily agreed with the following strategy.

  •  They will be at least 10% correct
  • They will get triggered to think a bit more when their opinion is even partly accepted.
  • Get new suggestions and new triggers and build a repository of 100 suggestions easily in a 10 member team.
  • That still took just an hour a day.

Share the success!

Who better to share the success with, than the wife, over a cup of tea?

Actually, Sishir felt like celebrating when his 40 tasks were achieved just on the 10th day. He just changed the way to think, tracked regularly, accepted everybody a lot and became flexible.

This has become a new normal in his life now.
